Frequently Asked Questions

What is the cost of therapy and how long will it last?

Initial sessions are 60 minutes, giving us the time to understand your background and goals. Subsequent sessions are 45 minutes. I also offer consultation and supervision as needed.

If you’d like to learn more about current fees for individual or couples therapy, please don’t hesitate to contact me — I’d be happy to answer your questions and help you get started.

Do you take insurance?

I am not currently a participating provider for any insurance plans. However, this does not prevent us from working together. I can provide you with a monthly statement (also called a “superbill”) that you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Many insurance plans cover a portion of out-of-network services, but the amount varies depending on your specific coverage.

I recommend contacting your insurance company to ask:

  • Do I have mental health coverage?

  • Do I have coverage for out-of-network providers?

  • What percentage of the session fee is covered?

  • Are there limits on the number of sessions I can use per year?

  • Do I have a deductible that must be met before coverage begins?

  •

If you’d like help understanding your options or submitting paperwork, I’m happy to walk you through the process.

Do you prescribe medication?

I do not prescribe medication, but I work closely with physicians and psychiatrists to coordinate any care you may need. If you are a first-time client who may benefit from medication, I am happy to provide appropriate referrals and help you connect with the right provider.
