Individual Therapy : Adolescent or Adult

Our initial goal of therapy starts with building trust so that we can communicate in a safe setting and form a strong partnership. Through this partnership we create an environment where it is acceptable to challenge, experience difficult emotions, and to attempt new, healthier ways of living. My approach to working with adults and adolescents may consist of exploring thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in addition to exploring relationships with others. At appropriate times I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to analyze and restructure negative thought patterns into more realistic and productive ways of thinking and to formulate a plan for changing behavior. 


Couples Therapy

Many times partners have challenges in their relationships. Couples therapy helps two people gain insight into their relatioshionship, resolve conflict and improve relationship satisfaction utilizing a variety of different therapeutic interventions. We work towards a more successful and gratifying relationship through a variety of methods; creating a safe place to discuss thoughts and feelings and developing healthier modes of communication and action.

Biofeedback Treatment

Biofeedback is a treatment technique in which people are trained to improve their health by using signals from their own bodies.  In biofeedback treatments, you are connected to a few sensors that read information about your body (bio) and show that information on a computer screen (feedback) in real time. This feedback helps you focus on making subtle changes in your body, such as relaxing certain muscles, to achieve the results you want.  Biofeedback is a used to improve coping, reduce pain and master anxiety.
